Would a free online fighting game capture the market? As medieval type games in the MMORPG space continue to grab users (even in the offline game world, see Civ4, Rome Total World and New Settlers Anniversay Edition).
What happened to traditional fighting games like Street Fighter, Tekken and Mortal Kombat?
These were massive arcade game smash hits. Sure, if someone could come up with a browser based free edition they would do well.
While capcom aren't going to allow legit copies online, maybe develop a stick fighting game.
There are some text based boxing manager games played out of the browser and something different like hobo wars - but really, we need something quality like evony (and it's graphics) to make a fighting browser game stand out.
Come on gaming houses what can you give us? Make it optional pay for play and the gamers will certainly cough up coin for the right game.
